Job Training

A New Leaf's campus in Broken Arrow serves as a vocational training center for individuals with developmental disabilities.  Using components of horticulture therapy we teach the how to’s of work in a greenhouse.   The campus based program fosters responsibility and productivity in a growing environment.  Our six greenhouses  allow for a learning environment that encourages independence and responsibility.

Within our campus based program we offer a classroom component.  Classroom learning assists the process of grasping concepts such as customer interaction, personal space, money awareness and other daily living skills.

A New Leaf encourages all of our vocational program participants to experience working in the community. We have developed worksite contracts with local businesses to hire crews of three to four individuals, along with a staff supervisor (job coach) to perform duties as needed.   All individuals are paid for the work performed.  While many of the community programs are plant related A New Leaf offers sites geared for interests other than plants.  See Hire Us
