Autism Works is a community-based vocational program for youth in upper-elementary, middle and high school with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their neurotypical peers. The program assists youth in making the transition to adulthood, higher education, and/or optimum employment by teaching social skills in a classroom setting and exposing them to the community and work experience at a young age.

Program participants will benefit from the program in the following ways: increased confidence and independence, improvements in communication, language, and social skills, improvement in job skills such as learning new things, being patient, task management, respect, and positive interaction with coworkers.

Too many adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) spend their days isolated at home. Without meaningful opportunities for connection and engagement, the world can become very small. At A New Leaf, we believe every person deserves a life filled with purpose, friendship, and belonging.

A New Leaf Day Center was created to make that possible.

The Day Center serves adults with I/DD who may not be able to work due to physical limitations or who are nearing retirement age. In a safe and welcoming environment, clients participate in activities tailored to their interests and abilities. Each day offers opportunities to learn, create, and build meaningful connections.

For families, the Day Center is a lifeline. More than 59 million Americans serve as family caregivers, often balancing work, family responsibilities, and emotional demands. The Day Center provides trusted care and peace of mind, allowing caregivers to recharge while knowing their loved ones are supported and thriving.

Clients stay connected to the Tulsa community through shared experiences such as visits to local parks and the Tulsa Zoo, attending sporting events, and participating in activities led by community volunteers.

Since opening, we have seen clients blossom. Individuals who once faced isolation are forming friendships, discovering new talents, and growing in confidence every day.

Because of the support of our community, A New Leaf Day Center is more than a program. It is a place where individuals with I/DD are welcomed, celebrated, and given the opportunity to live each day with purpose.
